The CT108 High Density Cleaner operates on the proven vortex centrifugal principle. Pulp stock is pumped tangentially into the top of the cylindrical cleaner body at high velocity . As the stock spirals downward through the long conical section, powerful centrifugal forces separate particles based on specific gravity. Dense contaminants such as rocks, nuts, bolts, and glass are thrown against the ceramic-lined wall and settle into the bottom rejects chamber . The cleaned fibers migrate towards the central low-pressure vortex and are discharged upwards through the top outlet as accepts . Removal of contaminants with minimal fiber loss

Cleaning systems are used to remove coarse or fine heavy and lightweight contaminants as well as entrained air. This provides a clean fiber material but also reduces wear and tear on the downstream equipment. 
Cleaners are used for recovered paper stock systems, approach flow systems, and stock preparation systems with virgin fibers.
